Hindustan Furniture House

Hindustan Furniture House is down in the Plastic Zone of the GIDC Estate, specifically at Plot No. 4210. It is a bit of a dusty area because of all the manufacturing going on nearby, but we have been here long enough that we don't really notice the noise anymore. Our workshop and the area where we keep the finished pieces are basically in the same spot. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make space for new projects as they come in. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you will usually see the same faces every time you drop by to check on something. We make furniture that people actually use in their homes and offices. There is nothing too complicated about how we go about it. We take the wood or the metal and we put things together until they look right and feel solid. Sometimes the saws are going all day and it gets quite loud inside. The GIDC estate is a big place, so we usually tell people to look for the Plastic Zone specifically to find us. It is not a polished retail store like you might see in a big shopping mall. It is a working shop where things actually get built. We have piles of materials in the corners and tools everywhere. We like it that way because it shows we are actually working. If you need a chair or a table, this is where we sit and figure it out.
