Zero To Fab

Our workshop is located at 706 Plot A/8/34 in the Kanha Estate. We are pretty close to the Narmada Canal in the Manjusar area. It’s a bit out of the way compared to the city, but it gives us the space we need for the fabrication work. At Zero To Fab, we usually have a lot of metal scraps and tools lying around. The sound of welding and cutting is pretty much the background music of our day. It’s not a clean environment by any means. There’s grease and iron filings everywhere. We started this because we knew how to put things together and figured we could make a go of it here. The canal is nearby, so sometimes we take a break and just look at the water for a minute when the heat gets too much. Most of the guys here wear work boots and old shirts because there’s no point in wearing anything nice. We do a lot of measuring and double-checking to make sure the parts fit like they should. If a machine breaks down, we spend half the day fixing it ourselves. It’s practical work and we don't try to make it sound like something it isn't. We just take the raw materials and turn them into whatever the customer asked for. It’s a long day usually, but seeing the finished pieces loaded onto the truck feels good.
