Deep Maya

Deep Maya is located at Govindwadi 28 in Vadodara, tucked away in a spot that feels like a real neighborhood. We aren't in one of those huge malls, just a local place where people know the street. Most mornings start with sweeping the front and dusting off the shelves. We have clothes and various items stacked up, and sometimes it takes a bit of digging to find the right size for someone. It gets a bit cluttered because we get new stock in and don't always have a place to put it right away. The light in the shop is a little dim in the corners, but we like it that way. Customers come in after they finish their grocery shopping nearby. We talk about the weather or how the traffic is getting worse in Vadodara lately. It is a slow kind of business most of the time, except during the holidays when everyone is rushing. We don't have a big staff, just us making sure the shop stays open and the bills get paid. If the fan is squeaking, we just ignore it until someone has time to oil it. It’s a practical space for people to find what they need without any fuss. We stay here until late evening and then lock up the shutters for the night. It is just how we have been doing things at Govindwadi for years now, and we don't plan on changing much. It just works.
