Zee Shaan

Zee Shaan is our small shop located in the Fatepura area. It’s a very busy part of the city, and there’s always something happening on the street outside. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is quite packed with all sorts of stock. It’s not a very big space, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. People from the neighborhood come in throughout the day, often just to see what’s new or to pick up something they need quickly. We try to keep the shelves full, but sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow streets, which slows us down. The floor can get a bit cluttered when new boxes arrive, but we eventually find a place for everything. We open the doors early in the morning and usually don’t close until quite late at night. It’s a lot of hours, but it keeps us busy and connected to the people around here. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. It’s just a regular shop where we do our own cleaning and keep our own books. Most of the people who walk in are folks we’ve known for years. We talk about the weather or the local news while we work. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in a neighborhood that we know inside and out.
