Vrushali Beauty Parlour

We started Vrushali Beauty Parlour in Shop Number 4 at Helly Enclave. It’s over in the Diwalipura area of Vadodara, right near Amee Society. It’s a nice, quiet neighborhood for the most part. The shop is small and simple. We didn't spend a lot of money on decorations because we wanted to focus on the work itself. It’s mostly just me and a helper or two. We’ve been here for a while, and we’ve gotten to know the ladies in the society pretty well. We do things like eyebrows, haircuts, and the usual stuff you’d expect. We don't have a big corporate manual or anything. We just do things the way we were taught and try to make sure everyone is happy when they leave. Sometimes it’s just us talking about our families and what’s happening in the news while we work. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are. We aren't trying to be some high-end salon like you see in the malls. We’re just a local parlor where you can come as you are. Some days are slow and we just sit and wait for the door to open, and other days we don't even have time to eat lunch. That's just the way it goes when you run your own small shop.
