Layer Hair & Beauty Car

Being in Bajwa is a bit different than the center of Vadodara. Layer Hair & Beauty Car is our little shop in the R Square Complex, specifically at F.106. It is a modern building but it feels like it belongs in the neighborhood. We are quite close to Vakal School, so in the afternoons you can hear all the kids shouting and playing when school lets out. That is usually when things get a bit more hectic for us. The shop itself is not huge, but we have enough room for everyone to sit and wait their turn. We try to keep the floors swept, but hair and stuff gets everywhere when it is busy with customers. The mirrors have a few smudges from time to time and the chairs are a bit worn out from use, but they are still comfortable. We spend most of our day standing up, so by the evening our feet are usually aching quite a bit. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just have to wait for it to come back on while we talk to the regulars. It is just a normal day-to-day life here in the 391310 area. We see a lot of the same faces every week. People come in with their own ideas and we just do what we can to help. It’s a simple routine and we’ve been doing it for a long time.
