Vinayak Marble Art

Vinayak Marble Art is located in Santkawnar Colony. We are easy to find because we are right opposite the Hanuman Temple and very close to the big water tank. Our daily routine usually starts with a prayer at the temple across the street before we open up. We do a lot of detailed work here, so you will often see someone hunched over a piece of stone with a small tool, working on the finer points of a design. It isn't just about moving big slabs; it's about the small things too. The air is often filled with the sound of tapping and the smell of wet stone. We have pieces of art scattered around the shop in various stages of being finished. Some have been there for weeks because the work takes time. We don't like to hurry the process. People from the colony often walk by and peek in to see what we are making. It is a quiet enough area, except for the occasional temple bells. We have a small crew and we have all been doing this for a long time. It is a skill you pick up by doing it every day. We just stay here near the water tank and keep working on the marble. It is a simple shop, but we have everything we need to do the job right. We just focus on the stone and the carving work.
