Rathva Naran J

Rathva Naran J is where I spend most of my hours. We are located right at the crossroad of Avenue Road and T N Shetty Lane in Chhota Udepur. It’s a very busy part of town, especially on market days. You can hear the bikes and the rickshaws going past all day long. It gets a bit noisy, but I like the energy of it. I’ve been working at this location for years. The shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. There’s usually some dust from the road, so I spend a fair bit of time cleaning the front area. I don’t have a big marketing plan or a fancy website. I just rely on being here when people need something. Most of our customers are locals who live a few streets away. They know me by name and I know most of theirs too. It’s a simple way to live and work. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized behind the counter, but I always know where everything is kept. If you ever find yourself near the Avenue Road intersection, you might see me sitting out front during a quiet moment. Chhota Udepur has changed a lot since I was a kid, but this corner still feels like the old days to me. I just keep showing up and doing the work as it comes. It is not always easy, but we manage to stay busy enough to keep going.
