Vertes Energie Systems

Our office is over at New Marine Lines, inside the Marine Chembers building. It’s unit 43. Getting here can be a bit of a challenge with the parking situation around Marine Line 5, but once you’re inside, it’s much quieter than the street. We deal with energy systems, which means a lot of technical drawings and looking at specs all day. Most of us have been working here in the Vadodara office for a long time. The building is on the older side, but it has character and we like it well enough. We spend most of our time on the phone or working through spreadsheets to get things right. There’s always a stack of files on someone’s desk that needs sorting. We aren’t a giant corporation with shiny glass walls and fancy carpets. It’s more of a practical space where we can focus on what needs doing. Lunch breaks usually happen at the desks or we go down to the local food stalls nearby. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years as more businesses moved in. Some days are way busier than others, especially when a big project is finally wrapping up. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not flashy, but it’s what we do. If you come by to see us, the elevator is sometimes a bit slow, so the stairs are usually the faster way up. We know most of the other people in the building by now. It’s a decent place to spend our days.
