If you go down to Fateganj Para Bazar at number 12, you will find Swastik Glass. We have been working with glass here for a long time. The shop is usually full of offcuts and big sheets leaning against the walls. It’s a careful job because things break easily if you’re not paying attention. We spend our mornings cutting pieces to size and smoothing out the edges. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring. The Para Bazar area is always loud with people walking by, but inside the shop, we try to keep it steady. Sometimes the floor is covered in glass dust so we have to sweep a lot. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just like making sure the glass fits where it’s supposed to go. Most of our tools are pretty old but they still work fine for what we do. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. People come in when they have a broken window or need something for a frame. We handle the heavy lifting and the delicate stuff too. It’s just a regular local business where we show up, do the cutting, and talk to the customers who walk in off the street.
