Vardhman Trading

Being located at 1 R C Dutt Road right by MG Road means there is always noise outside our windows. Vardhman Trading is based here near Vidya Niketan Marg, and it’s a busy part of town. We deal with trading all sorts of goods, mostly just moving things from one place to another and keeping track of the paperwork. It is a lot of spreadsheets and phone calls to suppliers. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time finding a place to stop near the building because the traffic is so heavy. Our office has a lot of files stacked up on the shelves from years of doing this. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure things arrive when they are supposed to. Sometimes we drink tea while waiting for a delivery that is stuck in traffic. It is just the regular cycle of buying and selling. We’ve seen the shops around us change names many times, but we are still here at the same spot. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just trade. If a customer needs something, we look into our stock or call someone who has it. The floors are a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. It feels like home after all these years of working in this location.
