Uma Mobile Workshop

We are located over in Vadodara 19, which is where we have had the Uma Mobile Workshop for a good while now. It is a small shop, mostly just a counter and some shelves filled with old phone parts and boxes. The heat in Vadodara can get pretty intense during the summer months, so we usually have a small fan going that makes a lot of noise. Working on mobiles is a bit of a messy job because of all the tiny screws and glue that goes into holding the screens together. We spend our days hunched over desks with magnifying glasses, trying to see what went wrong inside a device. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes. People come in with all kinds of problems, like phones that won't turn on or buttons that got stuck. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait for a quick fix. We get to know the regulars pretty well, especially the ones who seem to drop their phones every other week. It is just a simple local workshop where we do our best to get things working again. There is always a pile of scrap phones in the corner that we use for spare parts when we can't find a new one. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is.
