The Serai Resorts

We are located over on Jalaram Mandir Marg in Karelibaug. It is a busy area but we try to keep things calm inside our gates. Running a resort is not always as relaxing as staying in one. There is always a tap leaking or a room that needs painting. We spend a lot of our time checking on the staff and making sure the gardens look okay. The traffic on the road can get noisy, but once you go inside, it is much better. We get all sorts of guests. Some are here for weddings and some are just passing through the city. We do not have a big corporate office somewhere else; we are right here on the property. My office is just a small room near the reception desk. I have worked here for a few years now. We have to deal with power cuts and water issues just like everyone else in the area. We try to keep the rooms tidy and the sheets fresh. It is a lot of laundry, honestly. The kitchen is always running because people get hungry at odd hours. We do not have fancy marketing people. We just talk to the guests and try to solve any problems they have right then and there. It is a practical business. We just want people to have a place to sleep and a bit of quiet while they are in Vadodara. The staff lives nearby and we are like a small family here.
