The Oberoi

The Oberoi is located in Chanakya Complex at G 12. It is right near Avkar Hall in the Jivraj Park area of Karelibaug. This is a nice neighborhood, but it can get very crowded during the wedding season because of all the halls nearby. We have been in this shop for some time now. It is a small space, but we make it work for our daily business. Most days are pretty routine for us. We arrive, unlock the shutters, and get everything ready for whoever might walk in. It is not very complicated. If you are coming from the main road, just look for the Jivraj Park sign and then the complex is easy to spot. Our neighbors are friendly and we often share a quick chat in the corridor during slow hours. The light in this part of the building is okay during the day. We have some chairs for people to sit if they have to wait for anything. There is a tea shop around the corner that everyone goes to. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when there is a function at Avkar Hall, but we don’t mind the energy of the crowds. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us here every day. It is a practical setup and we keep track of everything in a simple ledger. People know us by name around here. It is just a regular life running a business in this part of town.
