The Hotel Airport

The Hotel Airport sits right across from the Vadodara Airport on Harni Road. You can’t really miss us if you are coming off a flight. Living and working in the 390022 area means we are very used to the sound of engines and the smell of jet fuel. It’s a busy spot. Our day revolves around the flight schedules. When a plane lands, we get a rush of people, and when things are quiet at the terminal, we finally get a chance to sit down and have some lunch. The building is simple and doesn't have much in the way of frills. We have a parking lot that is usually full of taxis and people waiting to pick up their relatives. Inside, we keep the floors mopped and the light bulbs changed. The furniture is the kind that is built to last, nothing too modern or fragile. Our staff knows the airport staff by name because we see them every day when they come over for a quick snack or a glass of water. It can get pretty hectic when a flight is delayed and everyone is in a hurry, but we’ve learned to stay calm. We don't try to be anything other than a convenient place for travelers to put their bags down for a while. It’s just us, the road, and the planes flying over Harni Road.
