The Gateway Hotel, Vadodara

Down in Wadi Bhatwada, on Kankuwa Lane, you’ll find our local office. This is a part of Vadodara that has a lot of history and very narrow streets. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here. We work out of this spot to handle some of the ground-level operations for the hotel. It’s a far cry from the big lobby of the main building. Here, it’s more about the grit and the daily details. The lane is often crowded with cycles and people walking, which gives it a lot of energy. Our office is tucked away, providing a bit of a quiet space in a loud neighborhood. We deal with various logistics and local coordination from these desks. The furniture is a bit worn out, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it suits us. We aren't here to impress anyone with the decor. We’re here to make sure the work gets handled. The tea from the stall at the corner of Kankuwa Lane is some of the best in the city, so we’re there quite often. It’s a very human way to work. We talk to the locals, handle our paperwork, and keep things moving. It’s not a polished corporate environment, just a practical place where we spend our hours making sure everything is in order for the hotel’s guests and operations. It’s a different world compared to the newer parts of town, with a lot of character in every corner.
