Thakar Upedra A

I am Thakar Upedra A and you can find me at Sokhda on the 12th Cross. It is a bit of a walk if you are coming from the main road, but the 12th Cross is a familiar spot for those who live around here. Sokhda is a place that feels a bit slower than the main city areas, which is something I personally like. My spot is just a regular building on the street. Nothing special to look at from the outside, just a door and some windows. The 12th Cross isn't the widest road, so when a big car comes through, everyone has to move over a bit. We spend most of our time here just getting through the daily tasks. It’s a simple routine. We start early when the air is still a bit cool and finish up when it gets dark. You hear the birds in the trees nearby and sometimes the local kids playing cricket in the lane when school is out. We don’t really do any fancy advertising or anything. People mostly find out about us by word of mouth or by just walking past and seeing the name. It’s been this way for years and we don’t see much reason to change it. Sokhda is home and the 12th Cross is where we belong. It’s a quiet corner for a quiet life, really. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever the day brings.
