Tea Fifty Six

You can find us at Alkapuri 8th Cross, 4th Main Road 88. It is just a corner where people like to stop for a quick cup of tea during their day. We keep the milk boiling and the tea leaves brewing from morning until late. It is not a very complicated business to run. We have a couple of benches for people to sit on, but most folks just stand around on the sidewalk and talk. The morning crowd is usually people rushing off to their jobs, while the evening time feels a bit more relaxed. We serve everything in small glasses. We do not have those big espresso machines you see in the malls. It is just a stove and some old metal pots. Sometimes we make a few snacks if we have enough hands in the kitchen, but the tea is why people come here. The walls are a bit plain and we have not really changed the look of the place in years. It feels more comfortable that way for everyone. The road outside can get quite loud with all the traffic passing by, but inside it is just the sound of the stove. We know most of the people who stop by by their names. They do not even need to look at a menu. They just tell us how they want their tea. We do not try to be trendy. We just show up and light the burner.
