Cafe Coffee Day

This place is located in Gajanan Flats, right on the third floor. We are situated in the Baranpura area of Baroda, specifically at Bhatwada. If you look across the street, you’ll see Bharti School. It gets really loud around here when the school bell rings and all the kids come out. Being on the 305th unit of the flats is a bit unusual for a coffee spot, but that’s where we are. We spend our time making drinks and chatting with whoever comes up the stairs. The elevator works most of the time, but sometimes people have to walk up. It’s a small space, so it smells like roasted beans all day long. We have a few tables squeezed in near the windows so you can look out at the street. Baranpura is an old part of the city, so the lanes are narrow and always full of people. We’ve got a small kitchen area where we keep the milk and the machines. It’s not like those big fancy cafes in the shopping centers. It’s more of a local hangout where the same people show up every day. We know how most of our regulars like their coffee. It’s a bit of a climb to get to us, but it’s a nice little escape from the street noise below. Sometimes we run out of certain snacks, but the coffee is always ready and the chairs are comfy enough.
