The Goodies Cafeteria

If you’re walking around Sayaji Ganj, you’ve probably passed us near the Post Office. We are tucked away on Surya Place Road, right opposite the Parsi Agiyari and just behind Kalyan Cafe. It’s a busy little corner of Vadodara. We started this cafeteria because we wanted a place where people could just grab something simple without a lot of fuss. The space isn't huge, but we make it work. Most of our customers are people working in the nearby offices or students who need a quick bite between classes. We try to keep the menu basic so we can get things out reasonably fast. Sometimes we run out of things toward the end of the day, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making things fresh. The building itself has some character, though it shows its age here and there. We don't put much stock in fancy uniforms or slick presentations. It’s more about the atmosphere of a local neighborhood hangout. You can hear the traffic from the road and the sounds of the city while you’re here. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel, which most of our regulars seem to like. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk in by name. It’s just a regular part of the Sayaji Ganj community, and we plan on staying that way for a while.
