Tailoring Prashat U

Prashat U here. I run my tailoring in the Panch Ratna Building in Raopura. It is an old building with a lot of character. You can hear the stairs creaking when people come up. I have my sewing machines set up near the window to get the best light. Raopura is always busy so there is a lot of noise from the street coming in. I have been stitching and fixing clothes for a long time now. My fingers are used to the needles. The Panch Ratna Building has a lot of other small shops too. We all know each other. I spend most of my time measuring fabric or sitting at the machine. It is steady work. I don't have a fancy showroom. Just some shelves with thread and some racks for the finished clothes. Sometimes people are in a hurry and I have to work a bit faster. Other days it is slow and I just clean the machines. My table is covered in chalk marks and scraps of cloth. It is a bit messy but I know where everything is. I don't use any big computers for my work. Just a notebook where I write down the sizes. It is a simple way to do things and it has worked for me all these years. I find that the old ways are usually the ones that people trust the most around here when they need something fixed.
