Tadvi Kalidas Melasangbhai

My name is Tadvi Kalidas Melasangbhai. My place is located at B/245 on VIP Road, right near the Mithakhali Under Bridge. It’s a very busy area with all the cars and bikes going under the bridge all day long. The noise is something you just learn to live with after a few weeks. I’ve been at this address for a good number of years now. It’s a convenient spot for people to drop things off because everyone knows the under bridge. The office isn't very large. It’s mostly just shelves and a small counter where I sit. I do most of the work myself, though sometimes a cousin helps out when things get really backed up during the holidays. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. I usually open up around nine, unless the traffic is really bad and I'm late. Dealing with the public is interesting. You meet everyone from students to retirees. I try to be fair with everyone who walks in. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so I’m always wiping down the counter with an old cloth. It’s a constant battle. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just provide what's needed for the folks in this neighborhood. If you are passing VIP Road, you’ve probably seen our sign. It’s nothing fancy, just a plain sign with the name. That’s all we really need to get by.
