Sindh Cutlery Mart

Sindh Cutlery Mart is located at number 122 in the Vatva G I D C area of Vadodara. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of knives, scissors, and other tools that people use in their kitchens or for their work. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we like to keep a lot of stock on hand. You have to be careful not to knock anything over when you are walking down the narrow aisles. We have been in the GIDC for a long time and we know most of the other business owners nearby. The air in Vatva is always thick with the smell of industry and the sound of heavy machinery from the neighboring units. We spend our days unpacking boxes and showing customers the different types of steel we have available. We do not have any neon signs or expensive advertisements. Most of our customers come here because their fathers or grandfathers used to buy their tools from us. We use an old ledger to keep track of our sales and we still wrap many of the items in plain brown paper. It is a traditional way of doing things and it suits us just fine. On rainy days, the water sometimes splashes under the front door, but we just mop it up and keep on going. It is a honest way to earn a living.
