Aa To Zed Dollar Shop

Our shop is called Aa To Zed Dollar Shop, and you can find us at 103 Sai Samruddhi Complex. We are in the Green Park area of Karelibaug. It’s a big name for a small shop, but we really do try to have a little bit of everything. I named it that because I wanted people to know they could find all sorts of stuff here without going to five different places. I spend my days walking up and down the two aisles we have, putting things back where they belong. Kids come in a lot and move the toys around, so that’s a constant job for me. I don't have a computer system or anything fancy, I just know where everything is by memory and heart. I have a small counter near the door where I sit when I'm not busy. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front glass, so I usually keep the door propped open with a brick. I like the Karelibaug neighborhood because it’s mostly families. You get to know the kids as they grow up and come in for their school stuff. I sell a lot of pens and small kitchen gadgets that break easily and need replacing. It’s a simple life. I open up, I talk to the neighbors, I sell some small things, and then I go home. It’s not about making a fortune, just about keeping the shop going every day.
