Shukla Varsha B

Working in the Makarpura Industrial Estate at Nizampura Gidc is always an interesting experience. Shukla Varsha B is located at number 9, right in the middle of all the industrial activity. There’s always the sound of machinery or trucks loading up somewhere nearby. It’s a busy environment and we fit right into the middle of it. Our space is functional. We don’t have much in the way of decoration because we’re usually too busy to look at the walls anyway. The floors are concrete and they've seen better days, but they hold up under the weight of everything we store here. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure things are where they belong. It’s not always pretty, but it gets the job done. The air usually smells a bit like metal or oil, which is just part of being in Gidc. We have a small table where we sit for lunch and talk about the news or the weather. It’s a tight-knit group here. We know the guys in the units next to us and we help each other out when someone needs a tool or an extra hand. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We don't worry about being fancy. We just focus on getting our tasks finished so we can head out at the end of the shift. The gate gets stuck sometimes when it rains, but we've learned how to kick it just right to get it open.
