If you’re looking for Sapphire Complex, you just have to find the VMC School. We are right opposite that in unit 108. My name is Shukla Kalpna S, and I’ve been working out of this Pratap Nagar location for quite some time now. When the school bell rings, you can hear all the kids running out, and the whole street gets blocked with rickshaws and parents. It’s a bit of a mess for twenty minutes, but then it goes back to being quiet. Our office isn't very big, but it has enough room for a few desks and a place to make tea. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. People usually just knock and walk in. I spend a lot of my time answering the phone and writing things down in my ledger. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I know, but it works for me. The complex has a lot of different businesses, so there is always someone to talk to in the corridor. We don’t spend money on big posters or flashy signs. Our name is just on the door in simple letters. It’s a practical way to run things. We keep our overhead low and just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It gives me a chance to chat with the shopkeeper next door. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours and it works.
