Shakti Tools is just a regular shop over at 896/B/4 in the GIDC area of Asoj. If you are driving down Dilip Gupte Road, you’ll find us easily enough without much trouble. It’s a bit of a dusty stretch of road, especially when the big trucks go flying past our front gate in a hurry. We’ve been working out of this small unit for a while now. The building isn’t much to look at from the outside, just some bricks and metal sheets, but inside we stay pretty busy with the machines all day. Most mornings start with someone making a pot of tea while we wait for the power to be steady enough to work. It gets loud once the cutters and grinders get going, so we usually have to shout to hear each other over the noise. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. There’s just a small desk covered in grease and some old notebooks where we keep track of what needs to get done before the day ends. The floor is stained with oil in a few spots, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with metal and tools all day long. Sometimes the neighbor from the next unit over comes by to borrow a wrench or just to chat for a minute or two. It’s a hard-working part of town. We just try to get the orders finished and get home before the traffic on the main road gets too bad in the evening. That's about it for us.
