Shakti Rotogravure

We are based out of GIDC Makarpura, specifically at unit 93/29. It’s an industrial area, so it gets pretty noisy with all the machines running throughout the day, but we don't mind the sound of work. At Shakti Rotogravure, we focus on the printing side of things. It’s a lot of ink, cylinders, and checking the colors to make sure they aren't looking off or blurry. The shop floor is usually busy and there’s always a smell of solvents and paper in the air, which you get used to after working here for a week or two. We started small and stayed that way for the most part because it's easier to manage things ourselves. We don’t have a big front desk or a receptionist greeting people. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the presses with ink on our hands. We spend most of our time making sure the tension on the rolls is right and the prints come out clear for the customers. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half a day fixing a part or cleaning the rollers, but that's part of the life here in the GIDC. Our neighbors are all doing different industrial stuff, so it feels like a community of people just working hard every day. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the orders done and sent out so we can start on the next one.
