Sandhya Academy Pre Primary School

Sandhya Academy Pre Primary School is located at D-17 in the Shantinagar Society. If you know Subhanpura in Vadodara, you probably know where this area is. We handle the little kids here, the ones just starting out with their ABCs and numbers. The building is part of the residential society, so it feels more like a home than a big institution. We have small chairs and tables that fit the children properly. The walls have some drawings on them, mostly things the kids did or some posters we put up to show colors and animals. It gets quite loud in the mornings when everyone arrives. We spend a lot of time just keeping them busy with toys and basic drawing. There is a little bit of space outside for them to move around, but it is not a big playground. Parents from Shantinagar and the nearby streets usually just walk their kids over. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who look after the different groups. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when it is time to go home and all the parents are waiting at the gate. The 390007 area is mostly families, so we see the same faces every day. It’s a very local kind of setup. We just try to make sure the kids are safe and learn a few things before they move on to the bigger schools. It is just an ordinary place where we look after the toddlers while their parents are busy.
