Maharishi Arvind Hindi Primary School No.47 (M) is located out by the Station-Chhani Road in Nizampura. Being in Vadodara, we get a lot of people moving around, and since this is a Hindi primary school, we see a lot of families who speak that at home. The school is not tucked away in some quiet corner; it is right there where things are happening. It can get a little dusty with the road being so close, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have the younger kids, the primary ones, so there is always a lot of running around and high-pitched shouting during the break times. The classrooms are basic. We have boards, chalk, and some charts hanging on the walls that the kids made last year. Sometimes the trains passing by near the station make enough noise that we have to pause for a second, but then we just carry on. The staff here is mostly local people who take the bus or ride their scooters in. We don't have a big fancy playground, just a bit of space where they play games. It is a bit cramped when everyone is out at once, but they don't seem to mind much. Lunchtime smells like different kinds of parathas and sabzi because everyone brings their own tiffin. It is just a regular place for kids to learn their basics before they move on to bigger schools.
