Raopura is a crowded place most days, and that is where we have our shop, Kids Camp. We are right on the stretch between Waghodia Road and Panigate. It is a noisy area but there is always something going on. We sell things for children, like clothes and small toys that kids always seem to want. The shelves are usually a bit of a mess because children like to touch everything they see, and we don't mind that too much. It’s a small space, so it gets warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the front window. We’ve been here long enough that we know many of the parents who walk by on their way to the market. Sometimes they just stop in to say hello even if they aren't buying anything that day. We try to keep things simple and just have what people need for their little ones. Dealing with families is nice because you see the kids grow up over the years. One day they are looking at baby shoes and the next they are picking out stuff for school. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping the place tidy and helping out whoever walks through the door. It isn't a big corporate store, just a local spot where you can find a gift or a new outfit without too much fuss. That’s how we like it. We usually close up when the streetlights come on and the main rush starts to fade.
