Sajid Dudhwala

I am Sajid Dudhwala and I’m based in Vadodara, specifically at Afzal Manzil. This building has been around for a while and it has a lot of character. Working in Vadodara is great because the city has a nice pace to it—not too fast, not too slow. Afzal Manzil is where I do all my business. It’s my home base. I don’t really see the need for a fancy office in a glass tower when this place works perfectly fine for me. I’ve got my routine down to a science now. I arrive, check what needs to be done, and I just get through it. There’s a lot of activity around the building, with people coming and going for all sorts of reasons. I like the noise of the city filtering in through the windows; it makes me feel like I’m part of the local buzz. I don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. I just do what I do and hope people are satisfied with it. My neighbors in the building are good people, and we often chat for a minute or two near the entrance. It’s a community feel, which is hard to find in bigger cities. I’ve been here for years and I plan to stay. It’s just a regular life in a regular part of Vadodara, and that suits me just fine. I mostly handle things on my own and that is how I like it. No fuss, just the daily work at the Manzil. It's a solid place.
