Rishi Laser Cutting Ltd

Our factory is out in Vadsar, at A-2620. It is one of those big metal sheds where the air always feels a bit warm because of the machines. We spend most of our shift watching the lasers cut through sheets of steel. It’s fascinating to watch the sparks fly, but it’s just part of the job for us. The floor is usually covered in small scraps of metal that we sweep up at the end of the day. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s a working factory. We have stacks of material piled up near the entrance waiting to be processed. The noise is constant, a low hum mixed with the sound of the cooling systems. We don’t have a lot of visitors, mostly just delivery trucks coming and going. The office is just a partitioned space in the corner where we keep the records. It gets pretty dusty in there too. We eat our lunch together on some benches we put near the back door. It’s a straightforward operation. We get the drawings, set up the machines, and get to cutting. There isn’t much to it beyond that. We’ve been at this Vadsar location for a bit and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. It’s just hard work and metal.
