We are based at 70/B on Ajwa Road, which is right by the Dholewal Chowk. It is a very busy intersection, so there is almost always the sound of car horns and general traffic noise in the background. We are also quite close to the Islamic Study Centre, which is a major landmark for everyone in this part of the city. Working on Ajwa Road means you are always right in the middle of all the action. The space at 70/B is where I spend most of my working hours. It is not a massive place, but it serves its purpose for what we do. We see a lot of different people passing through the chowk every single day. The energy around Dholewal Chowk is something you just get used to after you have been here for a while. I have lived and worked around this area long enough to know the shortcuts and when to avoid the worst of the traffic. My work is not about being fancy or sounding important; it is just about being reliable and being here when people need me. We do not have a marketing department or anything like that. It is just me and the tasks at hand. Sometimes the place gets a bit dusty because of the road or the general city grime, but we just keep things moving along. It has a very local feel, and that is how I prefer to keep it.
