Rangoli Primary School

We are a small primary school located in the Yamuna Vihar area of Ellora Park. Vadodara is a nice place to live, and this neighborhood is usually quite calm compared to the city center. Our school is tucked away among the residential houses. It’s a place where you mostly hear the sounds of younger children playing or singing rhymes. Since we only handle primary students, the furniture is all very small and there are colorful drawings taped to almost every wall. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us teachers and the principal working in the same few rooms. We spend a lot of time tieing shoelaces and helping kids with their tiffin boxes. The walk to the school through Ellora Park is pleasant in the mornings before it gets too hot. We know most of the neighbors, and they know when it’s recess time because of the noise. Sometimes the ball goes over the fence and we have to go ask for it back. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any high-tech gadgets, just some books, boards, and a few play mats. Most of the staff lives right here in Vadodara, so we are all part of the local scene. We just try to keep the kids safe and busy until their parents come to pick them up at noon. It’s a lot of routine, but that’s just how it is.
