Rajput Navjyotsinh Dalpatsinh is the one in charge here at Chokshi Chawl. We are located right by Azad Chowk in Miyagam Karjan. Being near the chowk means we are in the middle of all the action. There’s always someone shouting, a bike horn honking, or something happening just outside. It’s a very lively part of town to be in. Our workspace is inside the chawl, so it’s got that old-style feel to it. It’s not the biggest place in the world, but it’s what we have and it works for us. We spend our days handling whatever comes through the door. It might be paperwork one hour and moving heavy boxes the next. We don’t really have a set routine because every day is a bit different. We like it that way. Most of the people around here are friends or acquaintances we’ve known for years. We don’t use any fancy business talk or try to act like we are bigger than we are. We are just a small local operation. Sometimes the heat in the afternoons gets to be a bit much, so we take a short break then. But mostly, we are here from dawn until dusk. It’s a lot of hard work, but we find it rewarding in its own way. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing for the people in Miyagam Karjan. We aren't fancy, just practical and regular people.
