You can find us over at Derapole, which is near Hathipole on Rajmahal Road. We are situated right opposite the Jain Temple. It is a very old and traditional part of the city, so there is a lot of character in the neighborhood. You can often hear the temple bells throughout the day while we are working. The shop is located on Rajmahal Road, which stays busy with people going about their business. We deal with all kinds of apparels here. It is a small operation where we handle everything ourselves, from opening the boxes to talking to the people who walk in. The building is older, so the walls are thick and it stays a bit cooler inside than out on the street. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the locals know us by name. We don't have any polished marketing or big displays. Most of our stuff is just neatly stacked on the counters and shelves. It’s a very honest way to work, just being part of the local community. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a procession or just heavy traffic, but that’s just life near Hathipole. We keep the doors open and just wait for the next person to come in. It’s a simple, everyday business and we like being in this part of town near the temple.
