Pathak Maya Manohar

I am Pathak Maya Manohar and I stay at Navin Niketan. It is part of the Paramdham Society in Raopura. To find us you have to go right behind the Gujarati School Number 1. It is a quiet little corner even though it is in Raopura. I can hear the school bell ring every day and then the sound of the children playing during their break. It is a nice sound to work to. I have lived in this house for many years and it is where I handle all my affairs. My neighbors are mostly families who have been here as long as I have. We share a lot of stories over the compound wall. My workspace is just a table in the corner of the main room. I keep my ledgers there and a few pens. I don't like the modern way of doing everything on a phone. I prefer to see things written down on paper. It makes more sense to me that way. Sometimes the rain gets very heavy and the street out front floods a little bit. We just stay inside and wait for the water to go down. It is a peaceful life here behind the school. I spend my mornings cleaning and then I get to work around ten o'clock. People know to come by in the afternoon if they want to talk. I usually have some snacks or tea ready for guests. It is just the way I like to live.
