Patel Surya Mahendra Kumar here. I’m based at G/1 Wadi in the Old Wadaj Yojna Appartment. It’s a ground-floor unit, which makes it easy for people to stop by. The apartment building has been here for a long time, and everyone in the neighborhood knows it. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s quieter than the industrial parts of town. I use the front room as my main workspace. It has enough light during the day so I don't have to use the overhead bulbs too much. I keep my ledger and some basic supplies on a small table. There isn't much in the way of furniture, just what is necessary for the work. I like the Old Wadaj area because it feels like home. I’ve lived around here most of my life. Most of the people I deal with are locals. We talk about the weather or the news before getting down to business. It’s a very informal way of doing things. I don't have a website or anything like that. I just keep track of everything in my notebooks. Sometimes the kids playing outside can be a bit noisy, but I don't mind it. It’s just part of the atmosphere here. I open the door around ten and stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s a steady pace that suits me well. I usually shut the door when the streetlights come on.
