I am Lokesh Kumar Patel and I work from my spot at B/31 Vadsar Narang Corner. It’s located in the Unad Deep Duplex area. It’s a nice enough place, tucked away from the heaviest traffic of the city. I’ve been here for a few years and I’ve gotten to know the layout of the neighborhood pretty well. The duplex has enough room for me to keep my supplies on one side and my desk on the other. It’s not a corporate office, just a place where I get things done. I usually have the radio on in the background while I’m working to keep things from being too quiet. The light in the afternoons is quite good through the front window, though it makes the room a bit hot. I’ve never been one for big speeches or marketing plans. I just open up in the morning and take whatever the day brings. Most of my clients are people from the surrounding blocks who heard about me from their friends or family members. Vadsar is a growing area, so there’s always something new happening down the street, but my corner stays pretty steady and predictable. I like the independence of running my own thing from here. It takes a lot of hours to keep it all going, but it’s worth it to be my own boss and stay close to my home. It’s a simple arrangement that works for me.
