Patel Kamlesh Arvind

I am Kamlesh Arvind, and this is where I work in the Dandia Bazar area. My office is in the Alankar Apartment building, specifically on the 1st Cross. We are up in room 302. It’s a pretty central location, which is nice because I can walk to a lot of places from here. The building itself has been around for a while, so it has that lived-in feel. I like it better than those brand-new glass buildings that feel cold. Inside my space, it’s mostly just shelves and a big table where I keep all my stuff. It’s not always the most organized place, but I know where I put everything. I spend a lot of time here every week. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so I end up taking the stairs, which is good for some exercise I guess. I handle everything that comes through the door. It’s a one-man show for the most part. I don’t have a secretary or anyone to answer the phones, so if I’m busy, I might miss a call, but I always get back to people. Most of the folks who come by are people from the neighborhood or friends of friends. It’s a small, local operation and that’s how I like to keep it. Nothing too complicated or stressful, just steady work day after day. I usually make a pot of tea in the afternoons.
