I've been working here at Padra 1st Main for quite a while now. Most people know us because we are right in Balaji Arcade. It’s a busy spot in N S Palya. You can usually hear the bells from the Jognimata Temple nearby throughout the day. My name is Patel, and this place is just where I spend most of my time. The office isn't anything fancy. We have some old desks and a couple of chairs that have seen better days. Every morning I come in, open the shutters, and start the day with a cup of tea from the stall around the corner. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going. People drop by just to say hello or ask for directions because we are so close to the temple. It’s a tight-knit area. I remember when this whole arcade was much quieter. Now there’s always someone moving around or a scooter parked out front blocking the way. We just keep doing what we do. Nothing complicated about it. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window when it pours hard, but we manage. I’ve seen kids grow up in this neighborhood and now they have their own kids. It feels like home even though it's work. We don't have big signs or anything. Just the name on the door and a lot of familiar faces coming through the arcade every day.
