Parekh Sanjay M

Down in Miyagam Karjan, I run things under the name Parekh Sanjay M. This isn't the biggest town in the world, which I actually prefer. Everyone kind of knows who everyone else is. My place is right in the middle of it all. It’s a bit of an old building, and the door sticks sometimes when it’s humid outside. I have to give it a good kick to get it open properly. Inside, it smells a bit like old paper and tea. I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk, looking out at the street. There’s a tea stall nearby, so I usually go there twice a day. It’s a good way to see what’s going on in the neighborhood. I don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a few things I’ve picked up over the years. My work isn't anything revolutionary, but it's what I’ve always done. I take things one day at a time. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, I just sit and wait or talk to whoever is nearby. There is no point in getting stressed about it. People here are used to the pace of things. It’s a quiet life, and it suits me just fine. I don't feel the need to be anywhere else but right here in Karjan. It is home.
