Being near the court means there is always someone in a hurry walking past our door. Our office is at number 9 in the Vadodara Hvs Court area, right by number 21 near the Baug. It is a busy little corner of the city where people are always carrying folders and looking a bit stressed out. We opened up here because it seemed like a practical spot for what we do. The building is older, so the walls have that specific smell of dust and old paper that you find in these parts. I spend most of my mornings cleaning off the desk before the first person knocks on the door. It is not a shiny corporate office with glass walls or fancy carpets, just a regular place with some plastic chairs for people to sit while we talk. Sometimes the trees near the Baug give a bit of shade, which is nice when it gets really hot in the summer months. We have seen the same tea seller outside for years now. He knows exactly how I like my chai. Most of our day is spent handling the usual tasks that come with being in this part of town. It can get noisy with the court traffic, but you get used to it after a week or two. We do not try to be anything we are not. We are just here doing our bit, making sure the work gets done without a big fuss.
