Noore Mehboob Hotel

If you go to the R N Pitti Shopping Centre in Manjalpur, you’ll find us there. Noore Mehboob Hotel isn’t a hotel where you sleep, it’s more of a place where we serve food every day. We get started quite early in the morning to get the big pots going. The shopping centre has its own vibe, and we’re just one part of the daily routine there. It’s a lot of washing dishes and chopping onions, to be honest. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big menu with glossy pictures. We just cook what we know how to make. The tables are basic and we keep them clean with a cloth. Manjalpur is a busy part of town so we get a lot of workers and shoppers coming in during their breaks. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the lunch crowd arrives all at once and everyone is talking. We do our best to keep up with the orders. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we all chip in where needed. My uncle might be at the register one day and in the back the next. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really think about it much. It’s just work. We keep the lights on and the food ready for whoever walks through the door. People know where to find us in the center. We spend our evenings prepping for the next day, making sure the kitchen is closed down right.
