We’ve been here at GIDC Makarpura for a good while now. Our spot is at 284/5, right in the thick of the industrial estate. It's usually pretty busy around here with trucks coming and going all day long. Most of us spend our days looking at instruments and small parts under the lights. It gets really hot in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in Vadodara during most of the year. People stop by the office with questions about their setups or looking for a specific gauge. We try to keep things moving as best as we can. We aren't a huge fancy office with glass walls, just some old desks and cluttered workbenches. Most of the guys have been working with these tools for years and know them inside out. We know all the neighbors in the estate. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we have to wait it out, but we just use that time to grab a tea. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to handle the instrumentation side of things for the local plants. We usually start quite early to beat the heavy traffic on the main road. If you're looking for us, we’re tucked behind a few other sheds. Most people find us by the sign or by just asking the tea stall guy at the corner. We handle the paperwork and the technical bits in the same small room. It’s just a local team doing the work.
