New Kitchen Shop

So, this is the New Kitchen Shop. We are right here in Manjalpur, specifically in the Prem Nagar area. It’s a pretty busy spot most days. My family started this because there weren't many places to get basic things for the house around here. We have shelves full of pots, tawas, and pressure cookers. If you walk in, you’ll see stacks of steel plates and those plastic containers everyone uses for spices. It’s not a very big shop, but we try to fit as much as we can on the walls. Sometimes the boxes pile up near the back door when a new shipment comes in from the distributor. I spend most of my time behind the counter or helping someone find a specific size of lid that they lost. People from the neighborhood come by after they finish their grocery shopping. We’ve seen kids grow up and start their own homes, and then they come back here to buy their first set of spoons. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front window directly, so we usually keep the fan on high. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just rows of kitchen stuff. Sometimes we have tea with the guy from the shop next door when it’s quiet. We've been at this address for a good number of years now. It’s just how we make our living, day in and day out, serving whoever walks through the door in Prem Nagar.
