New Hindustan Auto Electic work is down in Makarpura Mani Majra 16 17. The shop is usually full of wires and old alternators. We spend most of the day bent over engines or testing batteries. It’s a lot of work with our hands, and they are almost always greasy. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather changes and cars start having trouble starting up. We have been in this spot for a good bit now. People stop by when their headlights go out or if the horn stops making noise. It’s not a fancy place at all. Just some benches, tools, and us trying to figure out where the short circuit is hiding. We don’t have an office with AC, just the fans on the ceiling that move the hot air around. Sometimes customers sit on the plastic chairs outside while they wait. We mostly just focus on getting the job done so people can get back on the road. It can be noisy with the traffic passing by, but we are used to that. We have a lot of different parts stored in the back, though finding the exact one sometimes takes a minute. It’s just how things go here. We keep a jug of water for anyone who needs a drink while they wait in the heat. We open early most days because that's when the drivers start their routes. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
