Nakum Akhtarhusain Mohammedkhan

We are over in the Salabatpura area of Vadodara. It’s an old part of the city and things can get pretty crowded on the streets during the day. Akhtarhusain and I have been working here for quite a while now. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it serves our purposes well enough. The walls are thick, which helps keep the noise from the market outside from getting too loud while we work. Salabatpura is always full of life, with people selling things and carts moving through the lanes constantly. Our workspace is just one large room with a couple of smaller partitions for privacy. I usually keep a small fan on my desk because the air doesn't move much in these old buildings. We have stacks of papers and ledgers everywhere. It’s the kind of place where you have to know exactly where you put something or you'll never find it again. I like being in Vadodara because everything you need is within walking distance of the office. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, but we just open the doors and keep working by the natural light coming in from the street. It’s not a polished environment, but it’s where we do our best work. People drop in throughout the day to talk or check on things. It is just a regular local business in a very busy part of town. We stay busy and keep going.
