Srp Fasteners

Our place, Srp Fasteners, is tucked away at Plot No. 307-9 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you’ve ever been to a Gidc estate, you know the vibe—lots of small units, the sound of metal hitting metal, and trucks loading up in the narrow lanes. We make and sell fasteners, which basically means nuts, bolts, and all the small bits that hold everything else together. It’s a gritty job and your hands are usually covered in a bit of oil by the end of the shift. We have rows and rows of bins filled with different sizes and types of hardware. It took us a long time to get the inventory organized, and even now, things sometimes go missing when we're in a hurry. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team in ties. We just have people who know their way around a lathe and a thread gauge. Most of our customers are other local businesses who need a specific part to finish a machine or a building project. We talk to them over the counter, write out receipts by hand sometimes, and just get on with it. It’s a humble business, but everything in the world needs fasteners to stay in one piece, so we stay pretty busy. The heat in the warehouse can be tough in the afternoon, but we’re used to it. It’s just how it is working in the industrial estate.
